Delicious Crispy Zucchini Sticks

Servings: 4

  1. If they are young and their crust is thin, there is no need to peel the zucchini. But if the crust is thickened, we recommend removing it.

  2. Remove both ends, at the handle and the thickened end. Divide them in half. Cut the halves cut in this way into thin strips. Let the size be of your choice. It is best if they are medium in size. Not too thin, not too thick

  3. Place them in a deep bowl and season with salt. Let them stand for 10-15 min to drain the liquid from them

  4. Meanwhile, put 4 tablespoons of bread crumbs, garlic powder, black pepper, ground red pepper, and oregano in a bowl.

  5. Mix well, then add the previously finely grated cheese. The cheese will stick to the sticks and give them a special taste.

  6. Beat the eggs in a separate bowl

  7. Place half of the sticks in a bowl with a lid. Add a tablespoon of flour. Close the lid and shake well to make the flour stick to the zucchini. Repeat the same with the other half of the sticks.

  8. Dip each zucchini stick into the beaten eggs, then dip it in the mixture with the cheese. With the help of 2 forks, arrange the sticks in a tray covered with baking paper at a small distance.

  9. Put the baking tray in a preheated oven at 200 degrees and bake them for about 25 minutes until they become crispy.

You can serve them with a sauce made from 4 tablespoons of sour cream, a little dill, and 1 clove of garlic
